WEST LIFE

         Westlife are an Irish boy band established on 3 July 1998. They are to disband in 2012 after their farewell tour. The group's line-up was Nicky Byrne,Kian Egan, Mark Feehily, Shane Filan, and Brian McFadden (left the band in 2004). The group is the only act in British and Irish history to have their first seven singles peak at number one. Westlife have sold over 44 million records worldwide which includes studio albums, singles, video release, and compilation albums. Despite the group's worldwide success, they only have one hit single in the United States, "Swear It Again", which peaked in 2000 on the Billboard Hot 100 at number 20. The band were originally signed by Simon Cowell and are managed by Louis Walsh. The group have accumulated 14 number-one singles in the United Kingdom, the third-highest in UK history, tying with Cliff Richard. The group had also broken a few records, including "Music artist with most consecutive number 1's in the UK", which consists of their first seven singles and only behind The Beatlesand Elvis Presley. The Official Charts Company credited Westlife as the second biggest-selling artist and biggest-selling band of the decade. The band have 14 UK number ones and 25 top ten singles, consisting of 20.2 million records and videos in the UK across their 14-year career - 6.8 million singles, 11.9 million albums and 1.5 million videos.
          On 1 June 2008, Westlife marked their tenth anniversary with a concert in Croke Park, Dublin which had more than 83,000 fans attending the special occasion. Music Week revealed on their website that Westlife are the official third top touring act within the years 2005–2008, while they were seventh top touring act of 2008. Also in 2008, they were declared Ireland's ninth-richest celebrities under 30 years old and thirteenth in general with 36 million euros as a group. In 2009, they dropped as sixteenth richest Irish with estimated 8 million euros each. They were named as the fourth most hard-working music artist in UK by PRS in 2010. In August 2011, it was reported in the Irish Examiner that the profits of the band's firm grew five-fold in 2010. On 19 October 2011, Westlife announced they were to split after their Greatest Hits was released on the 21st of November 2011 it debuted in Ireland at number1 for 1 week and debuted and peaked at number 4 in the UK and a farewell tour in Spring 2012

Girl's Generation

GIRL'S GENERATION
             Girls' Generation is a nine-member South Korean pop girl group formed by S.M. Entertainment in 2007. They are also referred to as SoShi (소시) or SNSD by their fans, both abbreviated forms of the group's Korean name.
              Girls' Generation has released three Korean full albums, three Korean mini-albums, one Japanese full album and various singles. Their 2009 hit single "Gee" holds the record for being the longest running No. 1 song on KBS Music Bank, having held the No. 1 chart ranking for nine consecutive weeks. Gee was named song of the decade by the Korean music site, Melon.
The group began a foray into the Japanese music scene in late 2010 under Nayutawave Records, a part of Universal Music, with the Japanese remakes of their 2009 Korean hits "Tell Me Your Wish (Genie)" and "Gee".
         The leader of the group is Kim Taeyeon. The other members are Jessica Jung, Sunny, Tiffany, Kim Hyoyeon, Kwon Yuri, Choi Sooyoung, Im Yoona and Seohyun.

Parade

PARADE
                   Parade are a British five piece girl group, who were formally signed to Asylum Records and our now signed to Warner Music Group. The band has five members: Emily Biggs, Lauren Deegan, Bianca Claxton, Jessica Agombar and Sian Charlesworth. They are now currently working on their debut album. Before Parade, Biggs was a member in the girl group Hope and Charlesworth was a member of the girl group City Girls. Agombar also had a role in St Trinian's 2: The Legend of Fritton's Gold.

The Saturdays


       The Saturdays are a British and Irish pop girl group based in London. The group consists of Una Healy, Mollie King, Frankie Sandford, Vanessa Whiteand Rochelle Wiseman. In 2007 the band were formed through Fascination Records which gave them an instant record deal with Fascination, a sub-division of Polydor Records.
      The band rose to fame when they released first debut single "If This is Love", which gave them their first top ten hit. They later released their first mainstream studio album Chasing Lights. It was accredited platinum certification by the British Phonographic Industry, while "Up", "Issues" and "Just Can't Get Enough" all received silver certifications. After the album, the band began their first sell-out tour The Work Tour. While touring, the band began recording their second studio album, Wordshaker which was released in October 2009, which gained silver certification by BPI.
      In 2010, as a bridge between their 2010 release Wordshaker and their planned 2011 album, the band released their first extended play, Headlines!, the first single "Missing You" released and second single, "Higher" which featured guest vocals from Flo Rida. On Your Radar is their third studio album which was released in November 2011, with top ten singles "Notorious" and "All Fired Up" released before the album. To date the band have released twelve singles, with ten charting in the Top Ten Singles Chart.
      In 2011, it was revealed that the band were attempting the crack the American music industry, They are currently due to star in their own TV show on American cable network E!, in 2012. They are also set to sign a American record label in late 2011. The band have previously had their own TV show in the UK, The Saturdays: 24/7. They have furthermore written a book titled, The Saturdays: Our Story.

        N Sync (sometimes stylized as *NSYNC) was an American boy band formed in Orlando, Florida, in 1995 and launched in Germany by BMG Ariola Munich, *NSYNC consisted of JC Chasez, Justin Timberlake, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick. After heavily publicized legal battles with their former manager Lou Pearlman and former record label Sony BMG, the group's second album No Strings Attached sold over one million copies in one day and 2.42 million copies in one week. In addition to a host of Grammy Award nominations, 'N Sync performed at the World Series, the Super Bowl and the Olympic Games, and sang or recorded with Elton John, Mandy Moore, Aerosmith, Mary J Blige, Britney Spears, Nelly, Michael Jackson, Phil Collins, Stevie Wonder, Celine Dion, and Gloria Estefan.
       While 'N Sync announced a "temporary hiatus" in spring 2002, the band has not recorded new material since. The group's official website shut down in the summer of 2006, and in 2007, Lance Bass confirmed that the group has "definitely broken up." In March 2010, the group's website was relaunched to keep fans updated on the various members' projects.

JLS
      JLS (an initialism of Jack the Lad Swing), are an English boyband, previously called UFO, consisting of members Aston Merrygold, Oritsé Williams, Jonathan Benjamin "JB" Gill and Marvin Humes. They originally signed to Tracklacers production company New Track City and then went on to become runners-up of the fifth series of ITV reality talent show The X Factor in 2008, coming second to Alexandra Burke.
         Following their appearances on The X Factor, JLS signed to Epic Records.Their first two singles "Beat Again" and "Everybody in Love" both went to number one on the UK Singles Chart. The band's self-titled debut album was released on 9 November 2009,and has since sold over one million copies in the UK. JLS won the awards for British Breakthrough and British Single ("Beat Again") at the 2010 BRIT Awards. They also won several awards at the Mobo awards for Best song for "Beat Again" in 2009 and also Best Newcomer in the same year. In 2010 they won the MOBO Awards for Best UK act and Best Album.
          In 2010, JLS signed an American record deal with Jive Records, and released "Everybody in Love" as their debut U.S. single, however it did not chart."The Club Is Alive", the lead single from their second studio album, was released in the UK in July 2010, and earned the band their third number-one on the UK Singles Chart. Their single "Love You More", the official single for Children in Need in 2010, was their fourth UK number-one. Their single "She Makes Me Wanna" featuring Dev was their fifth UK number one. JLS have over sold 3 million albums.

          The Backstreet Boys
            The Backstreet Boys (sometimes referred to as BSB) are an American vocal group, formed in Orlando, Florida in 1993. The band originally consisted of A. J. McLean, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell, Nick Carter and Kevin Richardson. They rose to fame with their debut international album, Backstreet Boys (1996). In the following year, they released their second international album, Backstreet's Back (1997) and their debut album in the United States which continued the group's success worldwide. They rose to superstardom with their album Millennium (1999) and its follow-up album, Black & Blue (2000). After a three-year hiatus, the band regrouped and have released their comeback album: Never Gone(2005), as well as two further albums Unbreakable (2007) and This Is Us (2009).
Kevin Richardson left the group in 2006 to pursue other interests.
The Backstreet Boys have sold over 130 million records worldwide, making them the best-selling boy band of all time.According toBillboard, they are the first group since Sade to have their first seven albums reach the top 10 on the Billboard 200.
